Bike Parking Hoop!

On the church wall, close to the kitchen door, you may notice an orange face smiling at you. This is a new bike-locking bracket - located under the eaves of the church roof, so sheltered from the rain, and in full view of the worship area. So, if you visit the church by bike, you can now use your lock to secure your bike to the church building, rather than just threading the lock through your wheels.

We hope to install more brackets soon.

Eco Pause for Thought

Holmfirth Methodist Church is proud to hold the Eco-Congregation award – the award is a visible sign of our commitment to caring for our planet and the people that live on it. From the latest issue of Clean Slate magazine comes an inspiring story of how a simple project, using green technology, can have a major impact on the lives of many people.

Latest News for Advent time

The Church will be open for anyone to drop in for a chat or just some quiet time with a cuppa on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday between 12:15 and 1:45pm.

The New Building

After many years of planning and fundraising, our new rooms were officially opened in October 2013. All the rooms on the ground floor were transformed and a new messanine floor was built to provide a whole new suite of rooms. The kitchen was fully refurbished, the community room was remodelled, new toilets were installed and a new welcoming entrance lobby was built.

All rooms are fully accessible with a platform lift giving access to the upper floor for those unable to use the stairs.

Dates for your Diary

Tuesday - A Bible Study group meet in the Upper Room from 2pm - 3pm. If you want to understand more and deepen your knowledge of the Bible then please come. All are welcome and refreshments will be served.

The Soup & Roll lunch is on Tuesday at 12:15pm to 1:30pm. This lunch is open to everyone, including those who eat lunch alone, would like a homemade bowl of soup and a warm room. There will be no charge, but a donations box will be available. Tea and coffee will also be served.
